Are flights included?
No. Book your own flights for max flexibility. Once you’re locked in to attend, we’ll send the exact recommended flight times into Kuusamo Airport (KAO) or Rovaniemi Airport (RVN) so we can coordinate transfers and travel to Ruka together.
Can I come on my own/solo?
YES! Most people come on their own, so you won’t be the only one. We’ll sort your tailored room share and add you to the group chat before we fly, so you can get to know everyone beforehand. Come solo & leave with new friends!
Can I share with friends?
Of course! Let us know in the attendee form that you will receive once you're locked in! If solo, we’ll pair you up. Either way, you’re in good company!
Do I need to be an experienced skier/snowboarder?
Not at all. First time on snow or already finding your feet? Ruka has something for every level. We are here If you want a bit of extra support or lessons but we do reccomend learning with us before for MAXIMUM enjoyment!
Is travel insurance required?
Yes. Everyone needs valid travel insurance that covers winter sports. Make sure your policy covers winter sports and any activities you plan to take part in. We will be checking!
Will there be activities besides skiing and snowboarding?
YES! We’re visiting during the Polar Night Light Festival, with glowing slopes, night riding and Arctic adventures. Expect socials, good music, scenic moody nights, local experiences and plenty of sauna/hot tub time too.
